5.3 help

This isnt and f-body lsx tech question, so if its the wrong forum move or delete please. I have a 2000 z71 as my dd. 5.3, a4, 4x4. SES light came on and it was the code p0332 for knock sensor problem. The light came on while driving at about 40 or so. Not on start up. I will probably change the knock sensor but is there any other problems that may cause this code that are comenly known?

on the trucks i have seen with that code, usually moisture gets down in the knock sensor holes (there are 2 knock sensors) and causes problems,, you will need to remove the intake manifold and check the knock sensors and harness for damage

Water will do it.

Otherwise measure the resistance of the sensors. It should be around 100 ohms or so.

They also have to be torqued down properly.

Sometimes the sensor gets loose either from the motor or the harness.
