In any of the 3rd or 4th gen cars did they offer black leather/vinyl interior? I have a 75 LT that is in desperate need of seats and covering them is a pain in the ***. Is there anyway I can pull black vinyl/leather seats out of a wrecked 4th/3rd Gen car and install them cleanly into mine? And are there factors that might keep me from doing this?

I looked into this and found that you would have to fabricate your own mounts/rails, the bolts are in different places. Easier to just get yours recovered....

 

Ok where did u find info on the 4th gen interior into a 2nd gen stuff? I already have the seats so I figured Y not make the car a bit more comfortable

 

When I had my 2nd gen and was a member on 2nd gen boards, I remember seeing people that had 4th gen seats in them.. I don't think the rear seats fit though.. Like said above, I'm sure you'd have to fab up different brackets for the seats to make it fit... I remember seeing a 70-73 Camaro with the dash, seats and door panels off a 4th gen.. I'm sure a lot of fabrication was done though.

 

Anyone know wat boards I can get on to find this stuff? That's what I'm looking for too is a 70-73 to put the seats in

 

THIS is the 2nd gen board I used to belong to.. Just do a search on "4th gen seats" in the interior restoration forum and you'll find some info.
