2002 Camaro SS question

I am about to pick up a Black on Black 2002 Camaro SS. I will enjoy it for a little while before modding it and enjoying it even more, but I am already making plans on what to do. It has the SLP Dual-Dual exhaust on it.

I was wondering if the main pipe from the y-pipe is 3 inch pipe or 2.5 inch. This should be an easy question for most of you.

Ill be sure to post some pics after i get it.

How does this list of mods sound?
Jet Hot coated Hooker LT's
Jet Hot coated Hooker Y-Pipe (no cats)
Kenny Brown DD SFC's
BMR STB
Eibach Springs
BMR LCA's
BMR LCA Brackets
BMR Panhard Rod
Chrome Z06 wheels

If you are referring to the I-pipe, it is 2.75".

What comes to the mods you listed, if those are the ones you want, go for it. Sounds like a good start.

So would a 3" cutout fit on it? I will probably place it somewhere before the axle.

A stock Z would be 2.75, but if it has an SLP cat back, I would think it would be 3". You can always measure it.

It is a 3" pipe, SLP already upgraded the cat-back so unless you want a different tone theres no need to change it. Those sound like good mods, check into Spohn for suspension stuff, not saying that BMR is bad though.

Oopps... Missed that SLP part. Yes, then it is 3".

I would only recommend stainless steel headers
STB - take it or leave it
Eibach Pro Kit, not sportline And if you go with springs, you really, really should do shocks, Bilstein HD at a minimum.
BMR LCA's and panhard.... Keep looking. Do some searches.
Wheels are really personal, so go with what you like.

I am getting a really good deal on the hookers, plus staineless are too expensive.

I am looking for a 1.5" drop, so what else would you recommend? Why is it so important to do shocks? The car only has 26,000 miles on it.

How about Spohn LCA's and Panhard?
