2 quick questions

Hi everyone

I drive a 95 z28 camaro, Big Block hood, Visage mold kit. K&N and SLP loud mouth

My first question.

I finally got my car all back together and stuff and my unkle took m car to get inspected. The failed me because of my cat-back. SLP Loudmouth exhaust. they didn't hook it up to anything he just loked at it and failed me.

I live in MAss. How do I go about fighting this? and proving its 50 state legal. I sent slp an email and also printed out there page that its listed on. Is there anything else I need.

My other question is. I had to replace my steering colum. Everything works but my security light wont shut off. It was nuver on before. there is an alarm on the car from the previos owner but its not hooked up. and I never bothed because of were I live.

How do I get rid of that light.

Thanks
Hollis

It might not be 50-state legal. It doesn't even really have a muffler. You should give SLP a call and ask them.

Go somewhere else to inspect it. If no luck at all - weld a muffler in place of resonator.

You could always 'barely clamp' a muffler in place of the resonator until its inspected, them replace the muffler with the resonator afterwards. Keep the muffler until next year and do the same thing.

If they are legal they should have a CARB number you could give the smog shop. That is pretty shady for them to turn you away like that especially if it is legal. Even if they aren't legal it is pretty common to have stuff ignored if the car still passes the sniffer.
