1998 Z-28 front lights - LED?
My 1998 Z-28 is going strong now. I'd like to upgrade the front lights with LEDs. Found some "replacement" LEDs for the turn signals, which kinda worked, but they soon melted the housings, because the running lights are always ON. Fortunately these housings are still available, so now all is good again, with stock lamps. I'd still want to install brighter lights (LEDs?) there, but I need lamps that will not melt the new housings. Any good suggestions would be welcome here.
The stock OEM fog lamps are almost a joke. I'd like some strong lamps there, too, but I don't want to damage the stock housings for them. Suggestions for replacements of the OEM fog lamps would be welcome.
I know some LEDs have heat sinks and/or cooling fans. Any experience with these things would be better (cheaper) here than my guesswork.
Thanks . . .
