Find the manufacturers page for the product you are interested in and get instructions there.

Re: 1994 camaro remote start help

Thanks for the post shoebox. My remote start is on the way but I tore down the bottom dash today just take a look at the wires. I looked at a wireing chart online and it said the yellow wire is the iginition wire... How ever in the pic I posted of the harness there are two yellow? Can someome clear this up for me before I attempt to connect this together tomorrow.

Thanks guys!

I would assume it would be the yellow off of the ignition switch. That is what eventually goes to the starter.

Re: 1994 camaro remote start help

You locate the switch on the lower part of the steering column and trace it out. Heaven forbid you try wiring into the yellow air bag wires.

You can see details of the switch on my website in the switch replacement guide. The yellow wire should be in the blue connector (assuming this is the yellow wire your instructions are referring to).

Its a no go. I hooked up the remote start to the ignition1, ignition2, start, and accessorie wires.. Would not start with the remote. Maybe i missed something but i figured that was all i really needed to get the car (atleast) started

You will need a bypass module for the VATS key. Also did you hook up the hood switch, the door jamb switch, and brake switch? If not you will need these connections as well. Possibly door locks, as most remote starts will lock the car while it is running.
