160 Stat? Winter time use or not?

Ive got my 160 Stat in now...i just put my Tb bypass back to stock config for the winter, wondering if its safe to leave it in all winter. My heat works very well with a 160 stat ... Any suggestions?

I left mine in last winter and didn't have any problems, just takes like 10 min for the heat to come on.

I have the 160degF 'stat and never noticed anything more than a minute or two extra for the heater to start putting out heat in really cold (sub-freezing) weather. I also have never found it necessary to reconnect the TB coolant in the winter, no evidence of throttle body icing.

I never had a problem with mine when I lived in NY. I did however use some duct tape to tape up some of teh area of the radiator to keep the temps a little bit higher while on the highway. all that cold air going into the radiator droped my temps a bit lower then I liked. after the tape I was running 180 ish again.
