[HELP] 1993-1997 Ebrake Repair

I know this is a somewhat common problem with 4th Gen Camaros. The ebrake button will shoot out of the handle and your ebrake doesn't work anymore. Anyway, I can't warm up my car / try not to park on steep hills because I don't have a working ebrake now. I've purchased a new ebrake assembly for like $10-$15 on ebay, and I was wondering how to take out my old one so I can put my new one in.

I've taken the console off many times, and basically... the main lever assembly has a spot on the back of it where the cable runs off back to my rear drums. Does anyone know how to unattach the cable so I can put my new assembly in? Thanks for the help.
