Will 02 ls1 fuel pump work in 97 z/28?

I blew a fuel pump in my 97 z/28 and want to get it running again. I have an 02 trans am in storage that is gonna be getting an upgraded fuel pump before spring when i take it out (planning on racetronix kit).

I am thinking about transferring the stock fuel pump from the ls1 to the z/28. Will this work or not?

LS1 pumps have an extra port that is used to fill the pump bucket so that it's never starved for gas. Maybe you could plug that off and use the pump in the 97 but I'd call someone like Racetronics and ask them.
There's also the presure difference 60 vs 47 but that should be handled by the regulator.
