walbro wiring help!

im doin a duel intank setup and will 12 gauge wire be good enough 2 run the second pump? what size fuse should i run? it will be on a toggle switch is there anything i should look for in switches?

12 gauge wire would be adequate to power the pump, but it should go through a relay and should not be powered directly through a switch.

why not use a switch?

You do use a switch, but you use the switch to control the function of the relay. All high current draw accessories should be controled using a relay. This enables you to use any switch you want and don't have to run heavy gauge wire to the switch.

I run dual walbro 255 lph intank pumps. Each powered with 16ga with a common ground wire. Had to rework the fuel tank seal mount for twin -6an delivery lines, and, electrical conductors + tank level switch. Also, I run a toggle switch which powers a Painless relay to apply 12vdc power to the 2nd pump. B.
