walbro fuel pump install question

walbro fuel pump install question

I just bought a walbro 255 fuel pump but doest fit in the plastic cover that heat protector that covers the pump on a 96 trans am. is it the wrong one? part number is gss340. i got it form new era performance i click on the 93-97 high flow fuel pump. do i have to get rid of the plastic covers?

If you're refering to the "bucket" that the pump mounts in, most times it needs to be trimmed in order to fit the slightly different Walbro 255 pump. If you need more detailed instructions, try searching this section, there have been several threads regarding this.
