stand alone distributor?

I am looking for a stand alone distributor that will accept a box down the line. This is for my non cpu controlled 87 camaro with a 1970 SBC with small cam/ stock heads. I would like it to be simple wiring hook-up with as little adjustments needed as poss for driveability . also can you recommend a coil as well

mainly street driven with light drag use.

You could go with an MSD distributor. They have them available with both the vacuum and magnetic pickup connections. You could use the vacuum hookup to run by itself, then when you get a box (MSD box would work best with an MSD distributor) just hook the magnetic pickup to the distributor.

For a coil, I would recommend the MSD Blaster 2. It all really depends on what you're running, but that's what is on my Dad's 71 Nova (350 SBC), and it works great. Went with the MSD 6AL box.
