Please Help

while driving my 95 camaro at higher rpm the vehicle starts to surge. does not matter if i am in 1st,2nd, or 3rd around 4500 to 5000 rpm the vehicle starts to surge and ack like it is out of gas. i have checked fuel pressure while driving, and when it occurs the fuel pressure never drops. there ar no trouble codes stored in the computer. now if it was a spark issue with the opti spark would there be any trouble codes stored in the vehicles ecm.....please if any one can give me any advise on where to go from here, let me know...thanks

Check for intake leaks; is your rubber elbow attached correctly to the throttle body. Air leaks into the intake that aren't measured by the MAF will cause surging.

could a bad airpump cause this problem. today my ses light came on and the air pump is getting power but not working. so i am just wondering if this was going out would this cause my car to surge/stumble at high rpms.
