Opti Vacuum Line

Hi Folks,

The vacuum line from my Opti to the intake manifold introduced itself to my headers. gmpartsdirect has it for 46 bucks, but I'm trying to take the cheap way out. I have the blowback prevention valve, but the filter/flow reducer is melted badly and I can't find one at the local auto parts stores.

Can I simply replace the hose without the flow reducer or will that cause problems?

Re: Opti Vacuum Line

Not having the flow reducer could put too much vacuum on the opti and could cause the cap to collapse in. Not what you want to do. Some guy on another board measured the size of the orifice of the reducer and got something similar from a supplier (supplier of what, I don't remember ).

Damn overly important pieces of plastic!

Thanks shoebox. I'll swing by the junkyard and see if I can snag one.
