Oil on spark plugs?!?

i was just helping my buddy change out his plugs and wires on his 95' Honda Civic, the two driver side plugs came out clean and the two passenger side plugs came out covered in oil. I know this isnt good but what does it mean?? Why is there oil on the plug?

Bad rings and or guides would be my first guess. Does it burn any oil at start up? If so then it could be the guides.

Edit: How much oil does the engine use?
