well cutting out in turns would sound like a fuel problem to me. fel pump may not be pumping enouh o keep the bucket full. but with the firing problem ughh that one is a lil more harder to diagnose. what did the plug look like was it dry? oily? covered on gas ? if it was dry its firing, oily plug may have gone bad and same goes for the fuel. i have bought brand new plugs before and some dont work..

Have you scanned it for codes? Have you checked the fuel pressure?

The stalling in turns may also be related to a problem with the idle air control (IAC) motor, which should respond to the increased power consumed by the PS pump, to hold the idle within spec.

How did you "watch the plug as it was trying to start"? Do you mean you pulled the wire off the plug, and held the metal terminal close to a ground to see if it would spark?

The LT1 uses an optical cam position sensor, that is part of the Optispark distributor. If it fails, it will set codes DTC 16 and DTC 36. But you say you aren't getting any codes.
