Need bigger injectors. How are these

Im doing heads and cam this winter should be just over 400rwhp. I am looking at getting 36lb Bosch fuel injectors I found a nice used set for $120. They are nickel plated and white in color. Bosch style Design III top feed injector, blue tops, 378cc /min flow rate. Will these work?

The Bosch ones seemed to do fairly well in both tests. My tuner told me to get 36lb'ers but I could probably get by with 30's just depends which I can find cheaper.

Listen to your tuner. You would be foolish to try and run 30# injectors at 400rwHP. Injector size is determined by flywheel HP. With your A4, you will probably be making 475-500HP at the flywheel. A rough guideline is to multiply the flywheel HP X 0.07 to get the minimum injector size.

0.07 x 500 = 35 #/HR

What happens if your engine makes more than you anticipate? What happens on a cool, dry day with sub-sea level air conditions? Engine makes more HP than the STD or SAE measured HP, and your injectors have to work even harder. I'd consider 42's. Its not about "cheaper".... its about choosing an injector size that will meet your engine's needs.

I went with 37# Racetronix injectors for my LE2 swap. That way I have plenty of injector for further down the road.
