My Z28 is dead!!!

well last weekend i had tri pillar gauges installed...i found out 2day my gauges stock gauge clusters werent functioning when tank read 1/2 full & i ran out of fuel.....bogged down and just died....parked at a gas station where she took in just over 17 gallons of 93 octane....fired up...let it run a few min....then 10 secs after i pulled out she died.....absolutely no fuel pressure whatsoever...its getting to the fuel lines...fuses working properly as well....im afraid its the fuel pump...which is pretty expensive & a pain to replace...anything else w/ the car/ fuel system i should check before i spend the money on a new pump?

check for voltage at the fuel pump conector, if you have voltage and still no pressure its time for a new pump.

When i replaced my fuel pump it would not start and i tried and tried. I had it sitting for a week and i was going to tow it to a shop to have them see what was wrong. It started and has been perfect ever since. All i could guess is that the fuel wasn't getting to the engine and making enough pressure to start. Sometime turning the key on and off but not starting it will slowly build up enough pressure to start. Your post is old so you may have fixed it by now.
