MSD Crank Trigger ?

I am having some problems with my ignition and fuel system, when i cut the ignition switch to run my ignition coil starts firing and injectors start pulsing. i am running a F.A.S.T. system which is wired to the optispark low resolution pickup for injection timing. i am running a msd 6al with a new factory distributor. should i install the msd distributor or install a crank trigger and use that for my injector pickup? i dont know if the msd dist. would be any better against ozone buildup, thats what i was told that was causing my problem?

You lost me on that one..... Do you mean when you release the ignition switch so it will return from "start" to "run", the coil and injectors fire, even though the engine isn't running? And this is related somehow to ozone generation in the Opti?

Might want to expand on what is happening.

If you ditch the Opti low res signal, and use a crank trigger, you will not be able to run sequential injection. Are you running sequential or bank-to-bank with the FAST?

What year is the LT1 engine? Have you considered running a vented Opti? The MSD will give you that on the earlier engines, but what you have now is not clear, since there is no info regarding the year of the engine.

If I am reading this right, disregarding the whole ozone thing, it almost sounds like you are powering your ignition and injection with a power source that is powered up when the key is in the "run" position but is not powered while in the "start" position.

Just a stab in the dark, thats the first thing that jumped out at me given the jumbled/limited info.
