Msd 6al

Hey guys, i tried searching but i could find nothing,

What i need is I have a 94 harness on my 6AL, and i have a 97 will this still work??

Also does anyone have a quick link to installing this, i tried the MSD website but i couldnt find anything, or if you could just tell me where the two connections go, im assuming one to the coil, but the other one, im not sure where it goes??

Any help would be awesome, thanks a million

Greg

The box will work, you will need a different harness though.

The 94 harness would be for the two connection coil, you would need the MSD 8877 harness which is the single connection seeing that you are putting it on your 97. Thunder Racing sells them, they run around 30 bucks.

This came from my car.
It had a 95/97 vented opti.
I switched to a Delteq with an MSD/DIS-4 box.
I removed everything - and the only thing I needed to do was use a coil jumper of some sort. This was a differnce from the 97 I bought the Delteq from and my 94.
Is this the same reason he needs a different coil plug from the 6AL box?
It fit onto the MSD coil I had so I thought everything would plug right onto his 97. The coil got lost in shipping ...couldn't he use another coil like the one I sent?

UPDATE
summit shows pics and all is clear.
My car had the MSD 8226 coil from 93/95, 2 plugs as 2000GTP said.
MSD calls for the MSD 8877 harness as mentioned for a 96/97
Also the coil is MSD 8231 for a 96/97
Harness = $31.30
Coil = $48.20
total = $79.50
Greg - check your pm's for a refund.
thanks for the help 2000GTP - wish someone checked into this before I sold it.
