Exclamation Misfires, Need Help

Hey everyone.

Well for the last two weeks my cylinder(s) have been misfiring. Ive changed the spark plugs, plug wires, and i just had it checked by a mechanic who said he thought he had it figured out, but just as i got home it started misfiring again . Could this maybe be a coil issue, or my mechanic even though it might be a computer issue. Any help is appriciated. If it helps any, my car is in my tag, and its running a 3800 Series 2.

**Also, it seems like only one cylinder is being knocked out at a time, never more. Could this eliminate a coil issue?

Did he scan it for codes? I believe a scanner with "GM Enhanced Parameters" can recall the misfire count by individual cylinder. Did he check the fuel pressure?

Beyond the spark plugs and wires - coil pack(s), ignition control module, cam or crank position sensors, and injectors.

As far as codes, i dont belive so. It seems as if i mess with the wires itll drive fine for a while and then slowly the misfires will come back again. Car is still driveable just really annoying to do so....also almost smells like somthing is burning, after a while.
