LS1 type replacement ignition for LT1
Anyone remember the company that made a whole new setup for LT1's that only used the optispark for the sensors and not to send spark to the wires? It almost made it like an LS1 system where you had 4 seperate coils for the cylinders (I think), and some people would mount them under the fans, etc.? My opti has crapped the bed again and I don't want to buy a new one to have it go in 2 years, I'd rather just be done with it so if anyone has a link or at least remember the name of the company it would be much appreciated. ANy input on people who have this system would be helpful too (I.E: worth the money, sucks, etc.) thanks

Alright I have one more question. First some background. I was driving my car one day and it was running fine, the only thing I noticed was the air/fuel ratio gauge was reading a little richer than normal (Edelbrock gauge with the red, greed, and yellow lights. It always lit up all the green dots but this day it started to light up the very first yellow one) but otherwise ran strong and no stumbling, hesitation, etc. So I get home from where I was going and park the car and about a day or 2 later I go to start my car and it won't fire and normally it starts right up, less than a second of turning the key. The starter turns over fine, it's getting plenty of fuel cos I can hear the pump(new injectors and pump also) but no spark. I checked all the wires and put in a new coil and still no start so I'm assuming my opti is no good because the coil is getting power but it seems like the opti isn't telling the PCM to tell the ICM to fire the coil. So my question is, does it sound like the part of the opti that went is the part I still need to function for the Delteq system to work or no? I don't want to buy a new opti thinking I need a new one for the Delteq to work but if the part that went isn't needed then I'll obviously just get the system and put it in. So any thoughts? I'm kinda pissed otherwise because the opti only had about 16,000 miles on it. thanks

injuneer is correct. my camaro had a bad terminal on the opti spark. when i pulled the jumper harness, you could see the terminal and connector was corroded. i had to replace the entire opti and jumper harness. if this is bad on yours, you have to replace both before you can use the deltech system. it should show a code for high and low resolution pulse signal. which i believe are codes 16 and 34 ( i maybe wrong on the numbers). if you don't have these codes set then you wont need to replace the opti.
