Injectors question???

Should I put different injectors in or use the stock ones? I just took intake off to replace gasket and while I am in there I am thinking about other things to do. I thought I once read about putting different injectors in, but I dont remember, any suggestions?? So far everything is stock. Thank you for ANY advice anyone has!!

For a stock car there is absolutely no need to replace/upgrade the injectors.

You'll basically need to do something to the engine that warrants the need for bigger injectors such as heads/cam upgrade or forced induction. You will see no power gains by adding bigger injectors on a stock engine. On top of that, going with bigger injectors does require PCM tuning, otherwise, the engine will be running rich. Factor in the cost of an aftermarket set of injectors and tuning on top of that, and you spent several hundred dollars for no gains. If you want to start modding the car, start off by adding a cold air intake, headers, y-pipe, catback, ect. All of those mods are a good basis to start with and still will not require an injector change.

Its a 93 with 22# injectors and I think two of them are bad. I know a guy with a 95 with 24#. I was wondering if they will work without having to program the computer. Also, I forgot to mention that my car has a stage two Jet performance chip in it. Will that make a difference??

Going to a 10% larger injector is withing the capability of the ECM to correct/adjust, but only in closed loop (part load/part throttle). As soon as you go WOT and the ECM goes into power enrichment (PE) mode, the ECM will see the long term corrections were subtracting fuel in closed loop, and it will return the long terms in Cell 15 (or Cell 18) temporarily to 128. That will cause your engine to run even richer than the already too rich stock programming. You don't want that to happen, since it will reduce performance.
