injector size?

Which injectors should I run On my 383 build up it has ported heads flow around 260cfm, port matched intake, 58mm TB, CAI, LT's, 3in. True duals, cc306 cam I was thinking either 30 or 36lb. How much horse power can 30lb injectors hold? Thanks

So 36lb. injectors won't be to much for this setup?

My car has run 9.70s with 36 pound injectors. With a proper tune you should not need to push the limit of the duty-cycle on those units.

I'm no expert but i would say yes.
If your not going to us the bottle should be no problem
I would do the 36 just to be on the safe side

how much does a good mail order tune cost and where is a good place to get one from? Will I be able to drive it without a tune for maybe a month or two?

I had my tuned from pcm4less but have had nothing but problems.
Its best to tune it on the dyno not over the net

Injector size is determined by your FLYWHEEL HP. For a normally aspirated engine multiply your estimated flywheel HP by 0.07 to get in the ball park on injector size....

500 flywheel HP X 0.07 = 35 #/HR
450 flywheel HP X 0.07 = 31.5 #/HR
400 flywheel HP x 0.07 = 28 #/HR

That assumes a decent tune at 0.476 #/HR/HP BSFC and and 85% duty cycle. Going larger on injector size will not hurt you, as long as you don't get ridiculous and run into turndown problems that limit idle fueling. Many people have no problems running 42 #/HR injectors on street driven cars.

I'll move this to the correct forum.......
