ignition help

hi and nice website!!! i need some help... about 2 months ago my 91 z28 would jerk a little upon accceleration and then about a week after that it would run for about 15 mins then die.if i waited about 45 mins it would start back up.then one day it ran for 15 mins then died but i tried to restart it with no luck.i had it towed to a guys house who works for a gm dealer.he told me i needed a new distributior.he put a new one on plus a new module, pick up,cap, and rotor.it drove great for 2 days then it went5 right back to starting for 15 mins then starting back up 45 mins later.so i took it to a chevy dealer.they said a couple things were not tight and fixed them.i got the car back and it ran like crap.the rpms at idle would drop to 500 and then pick back up to 1000 over and over again and the acceleration was terrible.so i replaced the ignition coil and module again just incase the new one was bad but the car would still just shut off.i drove it around and the acceleration was good but it would shut off after 15 mins.now i went out 2 days ago to start it and it ran fine for 15 mins then shut off but now it wont restart again? i checked for spark at the plugs and at the coil but im not getting any does anyone have any advice as to what i need to check or what the problem might be anything will help i also checked for spark after the car would run for 15 mins and die and i was not getting any so why do i lose spark and then get it back only to lose it completely thanks

Start the engine from dead cold for just a few seconds then shut it down so as to not warm anything up. Now remove the distributor cap and warm the module under the rotor with a hair dryer. Take it to the point of just being too warm to the touch. Now quickly put the cap back on and try to start it. If no start, pull a plug wire off of a plug and check it for spark. Viola, Don't forget to put heat sink compound(Radio shack should have it) on the new one before you install it.
