i need to be edu. on GM injectors

hey i need some to educate me on GM injectors i am use to working on my 79z28 so i dont have to deal with the new crap but lately my 2002 camaro 3.8 v6 has been given me probblem. now my question is beside the PSI, will any GM motor fuel injector work or does it have to be just for the 3.8 becuase i am wanting to step up my injector from the 19 to maybe 30 psi... all i have in the car right now is MSD coil packs and MSD 8.8 lines and K&N air filter and a flow master exhaust. every thing eles is stock the motors has 91,000...would 30 psi be ok for the engine

Do you mean 30 lbs/min of fuel flow (58psi)?
LS1 camaros use a 4bar fuel system (58psi).

Assuming the physical size of the injector is the same, and is high impedance, they will work. A fuel injector's flow ratings are based on a certain pressure. They will flow so many lbs/min at whatever fuel pressure. Up the pressure and the rate of flow also increases.

Obviously the computer would need to programed with whatever the injectors flow at, so it can rescale the injector pulse width in order to ensure correct fueling.

Hopefully, he means 30#/Hour injectors

Your PCM has the size of the injectors programmed into it. You have to use the same size injector the PCM is programmed for. If you change the flow rating (or use an injector flow rated at a different PSI than your fuel system runs at) you have to make adjustments to the PCM.

Why are you looking for new injectors? You have not done anything to the engine that would require more fuel. And increasing the size of the injectors does nothing for performance if you haven't modified the engine significantly to increase HP.
