i am taking off the heads on my '87 z28 , the fuel rail will not separate from the injectors. do i have to take the rail apart? the clips are in the unlocked position. the rail moves around but will not come off.

 

You should not have to take the rail appart. Once the injectors are unlocked they should pull out. I recently did it on my 89 and when I thought they were unlocked they were not. I just had to push the clip a little further.
