How do I remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank on a 02 Z28? It looks like it should just twist off. But I'm not sure and I don't want to break anything.

I've changed several fuel pumps on older Camaros before. And they just had the nuts holding it in there.

 

Just spin the lock ring off and pull the entire float and pump assembly out the top of the tank.
