Angry fuel pump diagnoising questions

i just bought this 95 camaro and just bout all the bugs worked over, but know to the fuel pump. pump is not pumping at all. i checked the things that i have read in the forums that has helped tremdously thanks guys. especialy U shbox! know what i did was checked volts on green/white wire going into fuel relay got volts, but not to the connecter on the rear fender. i ran a hot wire from the batt to the pump conn post still nothing. even tried the hot wire to the primer connector pump still dead as hell.

so what do yall think it is? no juice to the gray wire at the pump conn makes me think maybe wiring, but cant get pump to work with direct contact either. could it be both?

I think I would disconnect the connector at the rear floor pan and test to be sure all the wiring to that point was good. It could be that the pump is shorted out. If you jump +12v to the grey wire at the pump connector, make sure you also supply a ground to the black wire.

no i jumped 12v to the gray wire at the connector, i thought the purple and black was for the gauge. so i should test 12v to the purlple. and grond it at the read of car? the ground on batt itself is not ground enough? i am so ready to get ths thing going for her. thanks shoe

Sorry, I did not mean to say purple.

Have you looked at any of the schematics or pics on my site?

thanx shoebox u are the man, as soon as i get home i will try a ground to the black wire also, insted of just relying on the ground on the batt and running just a hot.

The relay has to be operated before you can get power toward the pump.
