Fuel leak from top of gas tank

Fuel leak from top of gas tank
I've got a fuel tank leak on my 97z28. Had the fuel pump replaced about 3-4 months ago and now I've got a fuel leak that just started from the top of the gas tank. Any ideas on where it can be coming from? Tank is half full so it's not overflow.
It only comes out when the pump is running. It used to only get 12-18 psi before it was changed. Now it's full strength at 55psi. Do you think it caused the lines to get used to low pressure and now that it's full pressure one has split?
Also, how do I cut an access hole in the trunk so I don't have to drop the tank? I was going to run the water hose over the tank to stop sparks. Dremel from the top the best bet?
P.S. Car is for sale in the cars for sale. I'm going to get my girlfriend a new car so the camaro is gonna go. But I'm getting a New Z28 when they release them once her cars paid off.

Re: Fuel leak from top of gas tank
This belongs on the "Fuel and Ignition" forum, not on "engine" tech. There is a "sticky" at the top of the Fuel and Ignition forum topic list that has links and discussion on how/where to cut the trap door.
If you have fuel leaking at the top of the tank, do not use a cutting method that will cause sparks.
Your fuel system should not operate at 55psi, under any circumstances, unless you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and have set it that high for some purpose.
There are hoses and quick connectors that could be leaking.
Moving to "Fuel and Ignition".......

Re: Fuel leak from top of gas tank
That would work - And like Fred says, if it is those quick disconnects that is leaking, it may be just an o-ring that got damaged when they worked on it. Those are all near the front of the tank and they are hard to get to, even with a trap door..
