fuel injector problem

I had an issue with fuel pressure dropping, so I pulled the fuel rails and noticed a couple of injectors leaking. I replaced the injectors and it fired right up and ran for about 5 seconds. Now it won't start and I believe it is because the injectors aren't pulsing. I'm getting spark, and I get 12v on both sides of the injector plugs but no ground while trying to start it. All of the injectors have 12.x resistance. I checked the opti plug and got 2 5v's, a 12v and a ground. Vats has been programmed out.
Has anyone had this problem before? Opti or PCM?

btw - the motor is in a 98 s10, and hasn't run in 6-7 months.

How old is the fuel?????????

Check for spark at a couple of plugs on each side.

If you got spark, try squirting fuel in the intake while someone cranks it over.

It will run if the starting fluid is sprayed in. Also, I found a noid light and it will flash twice when you first try to start it sometimes (about 2 out of 5 tries).

So it appears you don't have fuel getting in. First thing is scan for codes and address the codes that either have to do with fuel or have an effect on fuel. For example a code 41 has to do with spark control but it shuts off the injectors.

If you have NO codes, you're going to have to rough it.

BTW, you didn't mention anything about the engine. Would be nice to know some things like is it OBDI or II etc.......

I found the problem - the chip somehow managed to fall out of it's slot in the PCM. Snapped it back in and it fired right up! Can't beat the easy & free repairs...
Thanks for the help & suggestions everyone!
