95 Formula LT1 A week ago I pulled off at a little above moderate throttle, check eng. light came on eng. stopped. I tried to restart eng. ran for a sec. and stopped. I tried to restart about 10X, each time it would run a little longer than the time before and had some popping in exhaust pipe. I noticed each time it ran I could smell what seemed to be hotter than usual exhaust manifold or pipe. I finally got it to run, it ran fine till tonite when I had to make a quick stop, same old thing as before. The eng. shut off with check eng. light on after many tries to start, it started and ran like nothing had ever happened. I do have a new fuel filter, opti has only 2000mi. on it, no water leak above it. This problem is only on occasion, the car runs good normal driving. Any ideas. I'm worried it will totally quit when I'm out of town. Danny Mc
