Question Electrical Wonders.

Hello all~ Looking for a little electrical insight? I have a 1995 Z28 LT1 (5.7) with a few electrical issues. I have a no start problem? Not quite sure what it is? Checking to see if maybe someone has been down this road before.
Here is what's happening, the car would every now and then not start. But then it would magically fire up and run no specific time had passed, nothing changed other then the time of day. It goes dead, no power to the system at all. With key in ignition I can jump power to the under hood fuse block and fire it up without a security code showing. Since I can make it run that way I think I have eliminated the security system more specifically the key chip resistor. Does anybody agree with that? The problem I have is in the ignition I just do not know exactly where that might be? All my hot at all times accessories work like the lights, brake lights, door locks. I have checked all the ground spots cleaned them up and eliminated that. So it is the power in the ignition run position that seems to be missing?
I am really trying to avoid taking the steering column apart unless it is absolutely necessary. While typing this letter happened to think that I never tried the key in the accessories position to see if there was any power there????? I'll check that! Was so busy looking everywhere else never thought to turn the key backwards. In the mean time... Any other ideas as to what this malfunction could be I would greatly appreciate it? Thanks..

If things that are supposed to be powered are not powered when you turn the ignition switch to ON, then I would suspect the ignition switch or it's connection.

Ok I always prefer pictures.... seems so easy when you see it in color. I was a day away from pulling the airbag and the steering wheel. Many thanks for this been all over under the hood looking and checking pos and ground connections. Again Thanks..
