Do you really NEED the racetronix kit?
Hey guys i bought a new walboro 255 for 90 bucks, i know everybody loves the racetronix kit, but im a pro at wiring, so what is really the diffrence? I have acess to a machine shop and can lathe down my pump like the racetronix unit so its a drop in fit, what is so diffrent about his kit?

I did my own. Twin WB 255lph with KenBell BAP. Common sense goes along way. I too machined my own sending unit and did all the wiring. I did use Summit wire connectors which have survived gas tank. Also, shrink wrap is a good material for gas imertion. Some wire insulation will expand upon submersion in gas. This is the only trouble I have had. JB_weld will not suvive gas imertion, but seal_all adhesive will. hope this helps. I have pics if you want them.

well i am by no means bashing the racetronix kit, but on their website it claims that the rubber tube wont last in the gas, and i have used walboros in all my mustangs a turbocoupes, and have had them in for years and tons of miles without a problem. Also whats the deal with wiring it up to the alternator, i have never heard of that?

They claim that all performance pumps should be directly wired to the alt to eliminate voltage fluctuation (low voltage). I have a rear mounted battery and they are both wired directly to the batt. I have not had a problem. Also, the BAP (Ken_Bell) unit increases voltage to the pump. I use Summit Aeroquip socketless hose in the tank. -6an (3/8) size. I have never had a problem. The gm fuel system is quite small for performance flow. Reworked the entire system with twin -6an socketless hose. Much less cost than the steel braid hose. Hope this helps. B,
