Stock alternator amp
Does anyone know how many amps the stock lt1 alternator puts out?

I was told buy a guy that owns a Alternator rema factory, and has been doing it all his life, that it puts out in the nieghborhood of 170 max.

To my knowledge, stock LT1 alternator output 94+ is 140A. I think 93's were slightly less.

i had the same question, If you upgrade to a 160 amp do you need to upgrade anything else??

ok i bought a 200 amp alt. what do you need to upgrade the battery cable to a 2 or 0 g wire? is smaller pulleys needed?

Might search the Car audio/electronic section..... I have seen a few theads about this for people going to bigger audio systems...
