Carb Selection Help
I'm in the market for a carb for my 79 camaro with a 383 stroker, heres the link on the engine info:

i'm unsure on what would be the way to go for a good street carb, but something thats really gonna flow and have max power when i take it to the strip, its not gonna be full competition, but i have some local competition in town to take care of on street night, i've been told a 750 holley would be the way to go, because i'm looking for something affordable, under the $500 margin, but would mechanical secondaries or vacuum secondaries be the way to go also? any opinions or personal setups would be much appreciated, thanks

for this combo because of the street driving i would recommend a 700 to 750cfm. a vacuum secondary carb works great on heavy cars. on hte street you can adjust the secondarys to come in slow to help get the car going before you blow the tires off. i would use a holley with an adjustable vacuum secondary. it is a trick part that saves a lot of time tuning

yea i was told even the 770cfm avengers are great because of the vacuum secondaries and the consistancy, i've been told once you get the secondaries adjusted right they are very easy and simple to get right without a lot of tuning.
