94 Z28 No start
94 Z28 No start
Ok everyone need some help. I have a 94 Z28. I did an oild change took it around the block. Then parked it and decided to wash off the oil under the motor. No it wont fire up. I thought I was carefull around the opti but I guess not. I also did a light spray to the top of the engine. After a few days I tried to fire it up and started right up. took it for a little test drive after I let it idle for about 20 mins. Had a little miss to it. I started to head back home then it was running really rough. Check engine light came on and it stalled out. I towed it home and just parked it. The next day It started up and I just let idle. It had a miss and started rev-ing up. after about 20 mins of that it shut down. Now a week later it hasn't fired up at all. I checked for spark on every wire and its there. I hooked up fuel pressure gauge and have fuel pressure. When I try to crank it just turnsover and every few sec. it has like a little back fire and thats it. What am I missing or is the opti just bad but producing spark. I'm searching everything to try to find an answer.
Please let me know what I'm missing.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 94 Z28 No start
No scan yet. I have the cable but looking for software to use on laptop. Its been so long and a new laptop so I forgot what software to use. After I wrote the Thread I went back outside and tried it again. It fired up. Its holding at a 2k idle. The fuel presaure was at 43 psi when turn key on - not started due to it not starting. It also sound like it has a miss right now at idle. I turned it off and started it again to make sure it would fire up. It did and same thing with th 2k idle. What software should I use to look at codes that I can put on my laptop?
