Your best guess?
Your best guess?
I was talking to a friend today and he was looking at my car. He said that I should be running about 425 RWHP. I'm not sure so I thought I'd ask other car owners with SC's. I'm going to get a Dyno soon but I wanted to get a few more things done. This week the Hooker Super Comp. LT's are going in and next week I'll be installing a ported intake to match my TB along with 50# fuel injectors and a retuned PCM. Any guesses as to what kind of numbers I can expect on a Dyno and at the track?
Re: Your best guess?
if the time slip in your sig is correct and unkless your portion of tenessee has a nasty +DA you are no where remotely close to 425 rwhp.. I would say more like 320 or so.. might wanna check your setup out to make sure everything in it is working properly!

Re: Your best guess?
I just dynoed my setup with a P1SC intercooled kit on a 10:1 cr 355 LT1. has ported heads and a lingenfelter 219 cam (219 219 .525" .525" on a 112lsa 1.5 rockers), long tubes, no cats and dual 3" slp exhaust (95 vette) through a 6 speed and on ~7 pounds of boost it put down 438rwhp 444rwtq at 5800 rpm. this was done on a safe tune in the 11.6 AFR range.. and max timing was 23 degrees at 100 kpa from 2000 rpm through redline. before the blower install the car made 370rwhp 368rwtq and ran a best of 7.7@94mph now the car feels like it should run a solid 7.0-7.2 at 100+ mph this car has always put nice mph down running a best of 12.12@119 natrually aspirated. for you to be in the 425 range you would need some faster times and definately a better mph. just my prediction and opinion but I think you should make sure all is working properly and get that thing on a dyno to check your tune!

to be completely honest.. in my opinion.. once you decide to go forced induction I think it is time for you to start learning to tune yourself... because there are probably going to be several changes over the next year with pulley changes, part changes etc etc. and each time back for tuning costs and arm and a leg. you will learn a tremendous amount about your car and how everything works which you need to know because of the finicky nature of forced induction. so from best to worse....
get software and laptop and rent dyno time with wideband access.. this will tell you what your air fuel looks like and can tell you where timing is being pulled to adjust your maps. you can get your graphs looking perfect and safe with a few keystrokes and runs under wide open throttle. as for driveability.. VE master.. do a search.. and read about it. it works very well for part throttle driveability. now you can make changes to your ecm constants like injector sizes, cubic inches, gear changes etc etc.. and you can tweak it in and know exactly where you are with your setup. again just my opinion and some may disagree, and it is a challenge so be aware, but in the long run it will be most rewarding and will make life alot simpler!

Re: Your best guess?
I agree with the previous posts. I think you are a good 100 RWHP away from 425. If you want to achieve those numbers, I would look into upgrading the heads, and cam. Then you should have no problem.
