Will my D1SC get louder?
I just got my 95 T/A with a 383 and twin front mount D1SC back this weekend. What I was wanting to know is do Prochargers get louder after they break in? The kit was new and has about 200 miles on it now, but you can't hear it with the hood closed. I haven't made any boost yet. Still breaking in the engine and need to get my tuner to dial her in a little better before I push it. Thanks
I noticed that my d1sc got a tad louder after I put a few hundred miles on it...but I had run the blower on a 3.4 inch pulley (which spins it as fast as it can possibly go ~62,000 rpm). I really got that d1sc screaming with that pulley on there! Ive got the F1A and an FMIC on there now, and in a street car, its rediculous how loud that blower is ALL the time..
Get that blower into boost a few times (dialed in of course) and let us know!

Kreds,
I, also am running the 3.4 blower pulley with the 7.65 crank pulley. It has been very hard to keep my foot out of her until I get the tune dialed in. I will keep everyone posted!

Pnyhntr works for ATI, and when I ordered my D1SC, he asked me if I wanted a "loud one" or a "quiet one". I told him I wanted a loud one
. Not sure what they do at the manufacturer to make them more loud or quiet, but it seems as though some are louder than others, and can be made that way.
