i have my plugs (ngk tr6) gapped at .035. should i gap them lower? Aaron the guy who posted below this post had a issue at the dyno with the plugs being gapped and tuner said to gap them lower? but he isn't running a coil system. what should i do?

I have mine at .050 with no spark problems. Mine gets more torque on the low end when I have a wide gap.

Yes--no problems. The rules may be different for high boost applications, but I can't imagine the plugs having problems firing with low boost. Also, I would have been pretty upset after spending the money on the Delteq if it wouldn't fire across a decent gap. Lastly, for what it's worth, Ed Wright of Fastchips told me that he prefers Autolite plugs. He says that he has had problems with other brands and many times plugs will misfire without you even knowing it. In his words, "Autolites are nothing fancy, nothing exotic. They just work." My engine builder agreed.

well... thats news to me i have always read and heard ngk's are the best. to each his own i guess. guys on here and GMHTP magazine they set the plugs for blowers at .035. this was on a 1998 TA so it had a coil setup,so kinda the same idea as delteq just stock setup. it ran fine on the dyno/tune. the fact of everyones car being alittle different and responding different is the case i guess. guy i know has the same year z28 as me. he has 7lbs compared to my 8lbs. he has less engine work done to his car and the tuner where i plan to go told him since his car was breaking up and sputtering he needed to lower his spark gap to .028-.026... ngk plugs like mine.
