Running Lean

Running lean after the car has warmed up maybe a half hour of driving. What should I check?

Re: Running Lean

Do you have any tuning programs? Is it lean at WOT, or at idle? Need way more details to help.

Re: Running Lean

how do you know it's lean at an idle? Has the car been tuned by anyone? If it is indeed lean at an idle, you may have a faulty o2 sensor. What year is the car?

Re: Running Lean

The car is a 96 Z28. No fine tuning. I have a 224/230 cam all the bolt ons and an s trim supercharger. I put the supercharger on about 3 weeks ago. It ran fine for a while. Just this weekend the engine light came on so I scaned it. The code was a P0174 and a P0172. I monitored the 02's with the scanner the both read .06v. Is it possible that the boost caused an intake leak? The 02's only read lean at idle.

Re: Running Lean

If you are looking at narrowband o2's they are not gonna read right. At an idle they should be bouncing all over the place. Either get a wideband, or see what the o2 are reading at WOT. The car definitely is gonna need to be tuned though with your setup. Although I'm not as familiar with tuning LT1's.
