Wheres the sticky in here??

I think someone should write a sticky or FAQ on FI for n00bs like me. I'm curious to see what kind of setups are out there and whats necessary to run them. A nice FAQ with links to different kits and such, explain how stuff works. Just nice and detailed. Or is there on already??

The problem is that are so many variables out there. Different people have had different luck with different blowers. There are a few things you have to ask yourself:

1) Are you willing to rebuild your motor?
2) What kind of budget are you working with?
3) Is the car going to be a street car?

The one thing I will say about blower setups is that they are costly. You need to monitor your car all the time for knock and make sure it is getting good fuel pressure etc.. I originally bought my blower and expected my car to be extremely streetable. It did ok for about 5 months then time for a rebuild. I did not beat on my car and drove it conservatively. Once the rebuild started I began to understand how expensive everything was.

then that should go in the FAQ...I dont know, but to me it just seems like the same questions are asked so many times in here and it would help to answer some questions for newer people
