Where'd this extra pound come from?

Lately, my boost gauge has been seeing 7psi, with a 6psi ATI P1SC kit. I noticed this after I had 4.10's installed in my Trans Am. I didn't notice this before, even in colder weather. It tends to happen right before the shift.

Pardon my ignorance...and not that I am complaining- but why is this happening?

Maybe you rev it higher?
I saw 7-8 around 6500rpm when my tranny refused to shift.

steve,

the reason your boost gauge reads 7 psi now is because the power from the flux capacitor is now flowing thru the plasma conduit to the superdupercharger exactly 4.11 times faster.

You are reving the motor faster with the 4.10 then your were with the 3.42's. The faster or higher you spin the compressor the more air it will process. Thus the extra pound of boost. Now make your car hook! 2.0 sixty foots suck!

It wasn't a 2.0 mister. It was a 1.97

LOL

I can't wait to get her to hook. Hopefully I have enough ambition to hit NYI tomorrow before Toronto.
