When to change blower belt??

Hey guys.. just what it says, when should you change a supercharger belt?? I run lt1 383 with F1a 15psi. The belt is about 2 years. 12 rib. I had a little slipping the first 2 summers, this winter I sand blasted and put it on the lathe and turned down the ribs. I had to get my blower rebuilt a few months ago because they said i had the belt to tight. the belt still looks good??? I read one guy put a new belt on and he picked up a pound of boost...

I never had to change my belt once while I owned the car. I kept pulling it to look for wear every year or so but it always looked good so I put it back on. Initially before I got the SDCE 8 rib setup I had trouble with the tensioner pulley wearing out. It always appeared to me that the pulleys wore out faster than the belts. The guy at SDCE recommended an 8 rib setup because he said belts were cheap and components lasted longer. I think the 8 ribs are a little more forgiving on bearings because they have a little stretch to them.
