Honestly I'd say your two best options are PTK or STS.

PTK will be more "high-end" and more expensive. Lots of power. Puts the turbo under the hood where they usually are.

STS is cheaper. It is more "street" kit oriented, less power (though still probably enough to get you moving and happy) and boost response is a little different. Install is in the back, so it is easier and/or cheaper to install. Kit itself isnt too expensive either.

Overall we cannot make the decision for you. It depends on your motor rebuild and what you want out of the car.

Well my rebuilt lt1 is a stroker 383 and i asked the guy that built it to build is to take a lot of boost from a turbo. I really dunno that much about turbos though or what exactly I'm looking for so if you could direct me somewhere to find info on this that would be great

its going to be just strictly track and I'm not doing the work my self I have a garage that pretty much does the work I want done for nothing other than the cost of the parts. I have about 10k to spend on the engine and turbo system

If thats the case, either have them build a custom front mount or buy a kit. PTK doesnt seems to be getting good press right now, and TTi makes a kit with a log manifold (~600rwhp would be max).

" PTK doesnt seems to be getting good press right now"

What kind of bad press are they getting? I thought the fastest LTX was PTK powered? Sounds like good press to me if thats true.

Re: Whats the best turbo set up for an lt1

I was told they had a rough time with vendors and orders coming in at a faster pace then they expected. Sadly the impression I got was they didnt expect the business to grow this fast and as such didnt have the structure to handle such a load. They're still around for sure, but in over their heads at the moment trying to clear through the mess. This is one of those moments that could make a business great or kill it if done badly. There are a few very unhappy customers fighting promised dates and deadlines to get their stuff. A couple things dont go as planned and things get a little dicey... well... rather dicey.

PTK does have darn fast cars. I dont know if they have the fastest lt1, but I just dont know. Their work is top notch for sure though, if they come through this stronger I would strongly reccomend them. But till the negatives are settled, this is something they're going to have to fight hard.
