Whats best size for FMIC ???

Im currently looking for a FMIC and was wondering what is
the best size to go with ? I was thinking a 12x24x4 . If not
any suggestions will be appreciated . Thanks

Oh and I will be cutting the front of the bumper out where
the fog lights sit also so there wont be any obstructions

Contact Bob at EPP (www.exoticperformanceplus.com). He set me up with a killer FMIC for my car (not sure the size, but I think it is slightly bigger than 12x24x4). You will be limited in your search for FMIC's since there really aren't any to speak of made specifically for our cars (LT1's). You pretty much have to find custom ones, and fab up piping to make them work.

Also, you don't have to hack up your bumper if you don't want to. I created an air dam under my bumper directing air to the FMIC, and my IAT's are nice and cool on my car.

This is abou the best picture I have. I did cut the space out behind the fog lights because it wasn't too noticable, but I wanted to leave the rest alone. The actual air dam hangs a little low under the front bumper (you can see the metal bolts holding it in place).

Hacking out the entire section where the fog lights are, and the black part in between them will undoubtingly give you the most air flow, and coolest IAT's. However the custom air dam I made still keeps my IAT's plenty cool, and didn't ruin the appearance of my front bumper.

I too run a EPP setup but I custom fabbed a few pieces as their kit was intended for LS1's. Wasn't too hard to fab the rest up. I hacked my front end to death because I wanted my accusump to fit and that was the only place to put it. It's not visible now but I haven't taken any new pics either. I cut the support beam and actually mounted the IC to plastic headlight unit and it's reinforced at the bottom w/ some straps. Rock solid and isn't going now where w/ the bracing and piping in place. It also allowed the IC to sit up higher so it's not interferring w/ the airdamn but you can't tell w/ these old pics. The IC is 31X12X4.

That's a 3qt accusump from Canton. It's tucked up further than that now but no new pics as of yet.

Here is the piping kit I used. The rubber in these kits is terrible so I used gates hose.

NAPA has it. I got the 2 ply white stripe hose. It's about $20 a foot.
