Whats the best SC for a 355 with a 9:1 CR?

I want to make the most HP possible and the compression on the new motor is going to be around 9:1. I want a low maintenance SuperCharger and I want to be in the 600-700HP range more if its possible without having to tear the motor down constantly... Its going to be a Forged and fully balanced 4340 setup with Plasma Moly rings.. Its not built yet.. just guaging ideas. Feel free to steer me in the right direction if you feel im not already there..

It car going to be your daily driver? Personally, I would go with either a Vortech T-trim or an ATI D1SC. Just so you know you will have to invest in a good fuel system, and driveline. Also what kind of budget are you working with?

Yes its going to be my daily driver.. My drive line is being upgraded as we speak. A 9" is going in in about a month aswell.. I wont be ready for the motor till around october or so.. Feul system will go in with the new motor. I was thinking a walbro 255 intank and maybe 70 something pound injectors.. I wasnt really considering that yet.. Budget i have for the SC is about 3500.. motor is going to cost me about 2800 for the short block.. I was also thinking of doing a 383 with a high compression and large cam.. Im not sure what to do.. what do you think for a daily driver?

Personally, I think your budget is pretty tight. Just the basic supercharger setup will cost you more than $3500.

You will need:

Supercharger Kit
one heat range colder than stock spark plugs
Gauges
Scanmaster
Tuning

As far as your fuel system goes you will need alot more than just a single Walbro 255lph. Also if you plan on running 72lb injectors than you will need an Acceleraonics Impedance box.

Just so you know in order to do it right this setup is going to cost you a good chunk of change.

.. so 383? I was thinking the one from golenengineservice.com.. Theres is 6200 with AFR heads and all i would need is a manifold.. The Max HP for that motor is 480 with a small cam.. I figure if i boost up the cam and the manifold with some spray I could get around 650 750.. I dunno.. Tossing around ideas.. I really love the SC setup though.. But from what your telling me.. looks like if i went that way it would take me forever.. lol

Not cheap but worth it IMO, you could buy a used blower for 1500. NA with gas will be very reliable. Good nos kit will run around a thousand. Your short block will cost the same. If you do your own work it can be done.
