What TC for procharged 383.

Well my tranny if ****ed and I have another performance one waiting to go in(just waiting on a TC), and I'm wondering what stall to be on the look out for. Right now my car is mostly bolt on, but as soon as I can accumulate funds for the 383, supercharger and a few more misc parts, I will be throwing everything together and shooting for 600+hp. It seems like most people shoot for a 3200+rpm stall. I'm expecting my setup to produce torque almost immediately, so I'm thinking around a 2800-3200 stall. My car will be mostly street driven so driveability will be a concern.

Need to know about your heads, cam & gear. Here is the website with the selector on it. http://www.converter.cc/converter_selector/

It says to call for application. Heads will be ported 230cc that flow 330+cfm and a mild blower cam(don't have any specs yet) and the gear will probably be mild as I'd like to hook up on the street without running full slicks. I'm thinking around 3000. I'd expect peak torque to come in pretty soon and I'd like to keep it somewhat streetable.

Every company will be a little different on what they tell you. But I would say no less than 3500

If you want it to hook on the streets widhout running slicks you want as low stallspeed as possible.

I agree , With these heads seems like you would need a big stall. What heads do you have ?
