Question what kind of gains would I get from 7psi?

Ok I have a borg-warner GM-4 turbo off of a chevy 94 6.5 diesel that puts out 7 psi and I am putting it on my stock lt1 in my 94 z28. What kind of hp and tq gains would I be getting?

search... sure there are many things you need to know before just slapping a turbo on your car

I agree. I've heard that the truck turbos spool too quickly and don't work but a search will find the posts to back that up. I have a Duramax and a turbo LT-1 and they are very different beasts.

You should pick up at least 80 HP at 6-7 PSI , with the right turbo or supercharger on a LT1

Instal my methanol injection system on top of it and your looking at a nice forced induction system

Ok I have a turbo off a 7.3 ford diesel and a cummings, would one of those be better to use instead?

The problem with turbos from the trucks is that they spool quickly (seems good) and usually max out around 2500RPM (on my 6.6L Duramax anyway). It's just not the right turbo for a 5.7L gas motor. That's my opinion anyway. I'd just get the right turbo for your car.
