What kind of CR with Iron LT1 heads?
What kind of CR with Iron LT1 heads?
I'm considering a cheap mild turbo motor. I would like to lower CR of the LT1. I was thinking of using LT1 Iron heads. How much would it generally lower the CR too? Stock block of course. Are their any kind of thicker than stock head gaskets than can further decrease the CR?
I'm thinking of creative ways ( le$$ expen$ive ) of building a turbo.
I will have a spare LT1 with good compression in my possession this weekend. How much is it to balance the motor with new pistons? Ball park is fine.
I've read the stickies and was all ready to order turbo parts for my old TPI car but sold it. So I know what I'm going to do with the external Turbo parts, but the internals I'm learning now. LT1s are different so bare with my newbness with F/i LT1 builds.
